Executive Director - Buzz Dahlen

I grew up in the heart of Seattle, on Queen Anne Hill. I attended Western Washington State College (now know as WWU) in Bellingham, "My plan" was to become a teacher but after two years decided to focus on full-time ministry. Starting in 1985 I served as a youth pastor for 7 years. It was at this church that the Culver family attended. I was Joe & Aaron Culver's youth pastor when Joe and Deb were High School sweethearts and Aaron was in Junior High.  I moved to Idaho in 1992 to Pastor a church.  Over the 13 years in Cottonwood I kept in touch and when the day arrived, I was honored to officiate Joe and Debbie's wedding. When I moved back to the Seattle area Joe was one of the first people I contacted. After more then a year, many conversations and much prayer I became the Executive Director of Apex Ministries in December of 2006. I know that because of my age, I bring years of ministry and leadership experience. Having been involved in ministry, of some sort, for over 35 years, (20 year in pastoral ministry), I've expereinced that one can only receive while spending time in the "trenches." I am responsible for the daily operations and leadership of Apex, the "point man" if you will. If you have any inquires, I would typically be the one to contact. Although Deb, Joe and or Aaron can answer any of your questions. I can be reached at buzz@apexministries.org or 360-631-4597.
